Freedom Fund Banquet Fundraiser a Smashing Success
Senator Georgia M. Powers
This year's Freedom Fund Banquet
is was an incredible success, with special thanks to the Louisville Defender for placing a full page for several weeks. That generous contribution resulted in additional ticket sales, almost selling out this event.

Special thanks also to Senator Georgia M. Powers (pictured) who organized this successful event.

Marla Gibbs, joint creator of syndicated tv show 227 and former actress on the hit tv show The Jeffersons, delivered a touching and timely message to an audience of nearly 400 guests.

Funds raised from this important annual event have been used for voter registration, and to help felons restore their rights to vote.
